Healthy Brownie

Who said you need to give up on your favourites when on a diet. Here is something lip smacking for you to try on the days when you are craving for something sweet.

Ingredients :

  • 1.5 cup 80%+ dark chocolate, chopped

  • 3.5 tbsp coconut oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup dates puree

  • 1 cup mixed berries, chopped

  • 1 cup almond flour

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)


#tip : you can swap the dates puree with black raisin puree

#tip : you can swap the almond flour with whole wheat atta


Method :

  • Line the baking pan with butter paper & Preheat the oven to 180°

  • Melt the chopped dark chocolate and coconut oil together. Set aside.

  • Whisk the eggs and dates puree vigorously until fluffy.

  • Slowly drizzle in the melted chocolate and continue to whisk until the chocolate is fully incorporated.

  • Sift the almond flour, cocoa powder and salt into the mixture & slowly mix until there are no lumps.

  • Mix in the berries and chocolate chips, pour into the baking pan & smothe out the top.

  • Bake at 180 ºC for 18 - 20 mins.

  • Let it cool a little. Cut and serve.
