Stuffed Dates : Sweet & Savory

This snack is popular not only among adults but kids as well. It an awesome party appetizer which not only is healthy but super delicious as well. Best part is, that you can also have it as a late night snack.

Ingredients :

  • Dates, big size / Medjool dates : 12 pieces

  • Hung Curd : 2.5 tablespoon

  • Chili flakes : 0.5 teaspoon

  • Olives, chopped : 1.5 tablespoon

  • Peanut Butter : 2 tablespoon

  • Roasted walnuts, roughly chopped : 1.5 tablespoon

  • Dark Chocolate (70%), grated : 1 tablespoon

  • Pink Salt : 0.5 teaspoon

#tip : you can swap the hung curd with mashed feta cheese, mashed goat cheese or mashed sweet potato.

#tip : you can swap the peanut butter with almond butter.

#tip : you can swap the walnuts with almonds, pista, pine nuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds.

Method :

Getting the dates ready :

  • Slit the dates vertically on one side and remove the seed.

  • Divide it equally in 2 parts (6 each) and set aside.

Stuffed Dates : Savory :

  • In a small bowl, take the hung curd, chopped olives and half of the salt and mix well.

  • Divide the mixture equally into 6 parts.

  • Open the dates one by one and stuff the mixture in it and set it on a plate.

  • Sprinkle the chili flakes on the top and serve.

Stuffed Dates : Sweet :

  • In a small bowl, take the peanut butter, grated dark chocolate and chopped walnut and a couple of pinch of salt and mix well.

  • Divide the mixture equally into 6 parts.

  • Open the dates one by one and stuff the mixture in it and set it on a plate.

  • Sprinkle a little powdered walnut or dark chocolate shavings on the top and serve.
