Mango Salsa

Summer is here along with Mango season. The king of fruits can not only be included in smoothies and desserts but also in savory dishes. Here is an interesting twist to a familiar dish.

Prep time : 15 mins || Cuisine : Mexican / Fusion || Course : Side Dish || Servings : 2

Ingredients :

  • Ripe mangos, cubed : 3 pieces

  • Red Bell pepper / Capsicum, cubed : 1 piece

  • Onion, chopped : 0.5 cup

  • Coriander leaves, chopped : 0.5 cup

  • Green chillies, slit & halved : 2 - 3 pieces

  • Lemon juice : 2 tablespoon

  • Pink Salt : as per taste

  • Black pepper : as per taste

  • Chili flakes : 1 pinch (optional)

  • Tomato, cubed : 1 small

#tip : you can swap the coriander leaves with basil leaves, moringa leaves or mint leaves.

#tip : you can swap the green chillies with jalapenos.


Method :

  • In a big bowl add in all the ingredients (except for the spices) and toss well.

  • Now add in the salt and remaining spices and give it a mix.

  • Transfer it into a small bowl and serve along with corn tortillas or toasted whole wheat bread.
